This week the guys finish the process of naming their top 50 games of the decade (2001-2010). They each take aim at the draft sheets and start cutting games left and right. Insults are thrown, compromises are made and alliances are formed as they cut the list of 80 to the final 50.

The Perfectly Sane Show Ep. 60: Draft Day

This week the guys start the process of naming their top 50 games of the decade (2010-2010). Due to overwhelming response the guys took all the nominated games and had a draft, each selecting 20 games for a total of 80, which will be pared down on next week’s show. If you want a copy of the original nomination list, with over 200 games, send us an e-mail and Chris will send it out to you.

The regular crew is on hand to discuss games and they do so in their normal style of no refinement necessary and for some reason they do it at a fast pace. Games discussed include: Killzone 3, Dragon Age 2, Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time, Final Fantasy VIII, LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, Dante’s Inferno, and Bulletstorm (even though no one has played the final game yet). In news topics include communists, Top Ware bullying review outlets, We Dare, Skyrim’s new trailer, the 3DS’s unimpressive North American launch lineup and a host of other things.

Questions, Questions, Questions

Questions serve a variety of purposes. They inform inquisitive minds with the knowledge they seek. They quiz people on the knowledge they store. They also offer a gateway into the opinions of others. And in the case of questions to The Perfectly Sane Show, they offer a chance for our listeners to interact with us on the show.

Recently the mail bin for the show has been a bit bare. I want to reverse that for the next episode, which records tomorrow night (publishing on Friday). How am I going to do that? Well obviously I am going to give some crap away. And by crap I mean something that hopefully you guys would love to get your greasy paws on. But before I can do that, I need to ask you a few questions?

Do you have an XBOX 360? Do you play Call of Duty: Black Ops? Would you like a code for the new First Strike Map Pack for CoD:BlOps?

If you answered yes to any of those questions than leave us a question in the comments below and we’ll enter you in a drawing to win the code, which will be given out sometime during the recording of this week’s show. This week the crew is joined by the lovely Ms. Sarah Strickler infusing the guys with some perspective from the fairer sex. Of course with a female around Jeff gets a little out of control, threatening to douse Sarah in paint thinner, and has to be calmed down via giant darts filled with estrogen. Ok so maybe THAT didn’t happen but we do talk about Dead Space 2, NBA 2K11, and Killzone 3 before discussing the week’s news in the first segment. In the second segment we discuss some thought provoking topics and answer the mail.

The audio quality is a little all over the place in this episode and that makes Chris a sad panda.

Due to a system failure Chris had to piece together the audio using his back up source and the sound quality is off quite a bit but he was able to work his magic and save the whole show. This week the crew sits down to talk mediocre action titles, Bulletstorm, Fight Night Champion, a laundry list of titles that Jeff has been playing, Pac-Man Championship Edition on the PSP and the First Strike Map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops. We also discuss some news including handicapped children that lie and EA’s weird marketing strategies before answering the age old question of dragon or bandicoot?
