Then the guys wrap up the year with the naming of their unanimous choice for Game of the Year after some heated debating and an invocation of The Pac-Man Defense.

This week is part one of the two week holiday extravaganza that culminates with the crew naming their unanimous choice for Game of the Year. In this part, the guys give out trinkets for almost everything imaginable, except bald guys because they don’t like bald guys. Spoiler alert: Uncharted 3 wins two awards and Call of Jaurez takes home a coveted golden nugget as well.

This week is packed with games. dishwashers and echoes that Chris didn’t feel like editing out.

Chris struggles to understand the appeal of Dark Souls while Jeff gushes over it. They also talk Rage, Orcs Must Die, their concern for Battlefield 3, and lightly touch on Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Gears 3. There is also a ton of news including real life Batman, Fozzy being perturbed at Namco for how they handled the Dark Souls pre-order situation, Jeff not feeling touched by Steve Jobs and why Nintendo shouldn’t release sales figures for Wii games (because it is depressing). They also return to the everlasting argument over the Conker series, touch on some of their favorite N64 moments and answer some questions.

This week the guys start the process of naming their top 50 games of the decade (2010-2010). Due to overwhelming response the guys took all the nominated games and had a draft, each selecting 20 games for a total of 80, which will be pared down on next week’s show. If you want a copy of the original nomination list, with over 200 games, send us an e-mail and Chris will send it out to you.
