The Perfectly Sane Show Ep. 29: Yao Big

Despite 3/4 of the crew being ill in some shape or form they tough it out and deliver an episode filled with big games and big news. Tony dishes on his dislike of shadows, Fozzy talks some retro gaming, Chris dislikes the origins of dragons, and then their is talk of Killzone 3, Dead Space 2 and its new DLC Severed, Two Worlds II, Bulletstorm and Beyond Good & Evil HD. In news they discuss everything from finding Russians hidden by fans, inFAMOUS 2 having a mission creator, Super Mario 3DS, Bungie’s secret massively multiplayer game of some sort, and Epic would like to bring the Gears series to the PS3 but probably won’t. They also answer a few questions before collapsing from utter exhaustion.

This is it the grand finale of the three week extravaganza, the episode where everyone unleashes their claws and fights for their favorite game of the year. All four of the crew enter and only one game will exit. It is so exciting a little pee may dribble down your leg. Technical issues continue to plague the crew but they continue to soldier on. This week they get together to talk Epic Mickey, Donkey Kong Country, The Sly Cooper Collection, Dead Nation, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time HD, the Noble Map Pack for Halo: Reach, Sons of Anarchy, Tangled, dark Disney, more Pac-Man Championship Edition DX this time on the PS3 and that is all in the first segment. They also cover some news, including Tiger Woods, Uncharted: The Movie, Halo: CE remake, the latest NCAA scandal, XBOX Rewards and close it out with some technical difficulties and a third cut of listener mail.

OK that is a lie as Jeff is the only drinking but everything seems less coherent as Fozzy and Chris are both sick. This week the guys quickly mourn the sudden loss of Tony to a lightning strike, talk more about Halo: Reach, touch on Sonic the Hedgehog, Beat Hazard, cover some news, make their NFL picks and answer a questions about bad game titles and hallucinogenic drugs. Enjoy.

Special thanks to Fozzy’s cousin who opens and closes the show with some of the most unearthly noises we’ve ever heard.

Two shows in one week? Sure and welcome to our weekly deployment zone. Barring any issues we should have a new episode for you every Friday. This week, without everyone’s favorite non-royal Persian, we get into Mafia II, Lara Croft, NHL 11, Dexter, Scott Pilgrim as well as an assortment of news and (probably wrong) opinions including Bioshock: Infinite, the Star Wars trilogy on Blu Ray, Brett Favre, Warhammer 40K: Generic Title for a Game and Tony and Chris eat some crow based on their commentary that Mass Effect 2 would never come to the PS3 (damn you EA).
