This week is part two of the holiday extravaganza. In this part, the guys name the best platform specific games as well as their personal top 10 games lists. Then the guys wrap up the year with the naming of their unanimous choice for Game of the Year after some heated debating and an invocation of The Pac-Man Defense.

The Perfectly Sane Show Ep. 66: Bats, Spiders, and Hedgehogs… Oh My

This week the guys traverse the yellow brick road, which is only yellow because Jeff peed on everything again. Along the way though the guys encounter Batman, Spider-Men (yes, as in multiple) and a geriatric hedgehog with a taste for human women. They also talk some more Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Dark Souls and explore the Fozzy’s need for aerial speed and why he needs new sneakers. And of course Tony brings the news and surprisingly Chris dozes off for a few seconds (see if you can pick up where).

The guys celebrate a year’s worth of episodes and talk about Vanquish, Portal 2, Q*Bert 2011 err… we mean Catherine, and Sports Champions. They also talk the week’s biggest news including EA Sports early access nonsense, Diablo III being the devil spawn and why cheetos and coke could save your life. They also answer a ton of questions and give away a code for Section 8: Prejudice.

Audio quality and editing might be a bit suspect this week as Chris recorded from a villa in the mountains on a spotty internet connection and he didn’t really care to spend his whole Friday editing when he could be playing golf.

This week we go headfirst into a ton of games including this week’s big releases of Dungeon Siege III and Shadows of the Damned. They also go in depth on Mortal Kombat and Chris and Jeff revisit their thoughts on Duke Nukem Forever and Alice: Madness Returns. They also cover the increasingly interesting Duke PR nightmare story, talk about Ryan Dunn’s death and about layoffs at IGN before answering a smattering of listener mail.

E3 2011 is in the past. It is time to get back to what really matters, games that we can actually play. This week the guys misplace Tony and while trying to find him come across the code for Duke Nukem Forever. Then the world ends because Jeff attempted to play it.

Joking aside the guys talk about the aforementioned Duke, Chris raves about Alice: Madness Returns and Outland. while Fozzy reveals his uber-dorky side and talks about Magic, as in the card game. They also try to do a news segment and answer some listener questions, only some of which is successful.

It’s E3 week and the crew is getting together every day of the conference to talk about Gamer’s Christmas. This time they draft their friend Javi Rodriguez, the host of Game Over Nation, and talk about Day 0. They cover the Monday press conferences of Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft and Sony and while there is a lot of disappointment in the room but amidst all the grumbling they also like a lot of stuff.

This week the crew is a bit disheveled and distracted but they manage to talk some Crysis 2, Full House Poker, Spider-Man, Little Big Planet 2, The 3rd Birthday, and Halo: The Fall of Reach as well as the week’s biggest gaming news items including the Anonymous shenanigans and EA making bold statements. Despite 3/4 of the crew being ill in some shape or form they tough it out and deliver an episode filled with big games and big news. Tony dishes on his dislike of shadows, Fozzy talks some retro gaming, Chris dislikes the origins of dragons, and then their is talk of Killzone 3, Dead Space 2 and its new DLC Severed, Two Worlds II, Bulletstorm and Beyond Good & Evil HD. In news they discuss everything from finding Russians hidden by fans, inFAMOUS 2 having a mission creator, Super Mario 3DS, Bungie’s secret massively multiplayer game of some sort, and Epic would like to bring the Gears series to the PS3 but probably won’t. They also answer a few questions before collapsing from utter exhaustion.
