Aside from Jeff’s newly found celebrity everything is back to normal, including the audio quality, for the Perfectly Sane Show. In this week’s episode the guys talk a bit about their final thoughts on PAX East before jumping into discussion on Homefront, Halo: Reach’s Defiant map pack, Full House Poker, Dragon Age II, Torchlight, Battle: Los Angeles and Dead Space 2.
This week Fozzy goes on the road to podcast and does so from a Bomberman party, which makes for some awkward moments. The rest of the crew, including Sarah (who returns against her better judgment), sit down and talk Hard Corps: Uprising, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and You Don’t Know Jack before tackling the ton of news that Tony has compiled for the week. We also give away a code for Call of Duty: Black Ops’ First Strike Map Pack during the mail segment, so listen in and see if you have won.

This is it the grand finale of the three week extravaganza, the episode where everyone unleashes their claws and fights for their favorite game of the year. All four of the crew enter and only one game will exit. It is so exciting a little pee may dribble down your leg. So sit back and close 2010 out with The Perfectly Sane Show as they announce their game of the year and raise your glass to the New Year.
Technical issues continue to plague the crew but they continue to soldier on. This week they get together to talk Epic Mickey, Donkey Kong Country, The Sly Cooper Collection, Dead Nation, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time HD, the Noble Map Pack for Halo: Reach, Sons of Anarchy, Tangled, dark Disney, more Pac-Man Championship Edition DX this time on the PS3 and that is all in the first segment. They also cover some news, including Tiger Woods, Uncharted: The Movie, Halo: CE remake, the latest NCAA scandal, XBOX Rewards and close it out with some technical difficulties and a third cut of listener mail.
This week the crew sit down to talk about zombies in Vegas, the rankings system in Reach, Nintendo’s moronic solution to its Metroid: Other M glitch problem and we make our NFL picks for the week. Also Fozzy babbles in a foreign language about college football and we answer your questions, like what do we think about UFO’s and if we’ll have a sleepover with you. (Hey don’t look at us, you sent them in).
Special thanks to Fozzy’s cousin who opens the show yet again, this time with a giant sized slam of our furry Persian comedian.
OK that is a lie as Jeff is the only drinking but everything seems less coherent as Fozzy and Chris are both sick. This week the guys quickly mourn the sudden loss of Tony to a lightning strike, talk more about Halo: Reach, touch on Sonic the Hedgehog, Beat Hazard, cover some news, make their NFL picks and answer a questions about bad game titles and hallucinogenic drugs. Enjoy.
Special thanks to Fozzy’s cousin who opens and closes the show with some of the most unearthly noises we’ve ever heard.
Ouch… that title is bad and blatantly obvious isn’t it? Oh well, while Halo: Reach is the main focus of the show this week we still manage to talk a bit about Spider-Man, House M.D., DJ Hero 2, Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, Plants vs. Zombies, some random news and we make our NFL picks. But honestly we’ve all been playing Reach and loving every minute of it.
Yes there was a post about a chance to win a copy of Deadly Premonition from us on Wednesday. We received a rather weak showing for the question so we ended up cutting that part of the show but be advised, if you commented your name will be held for the next chance to win and if you participate in that one, you will have two chances to win. Anyway sorry about no game give away this show but we did not forget you.
Oh and if the editing seems particularly bad this week, like far worse than normal. It’s all Chris’s fault because he rushed the editing and mixing out so he could go play more Halo. Seriously.
Everyone likes a chance to win a free game right? Well this week the Perfectly Sane Show will be discussing an awful lot about some small indie developed shooter game where you play as a super soldier named Halo: Reach. Seriously though we will be spending an awful lot of time discussing Reach and the Halo franchise in general when we record. We would love to here your experiences with Reach thus far and maybe your memories of the series proper. Doing so in the comments below will enter you into a drawing to win a copy of Deadly Premonition for the XBOX 360 (USA/Canada only… sorry ). So reach out and touch us with your tale of pwning n00bs in teh Haloz!
Every new show has its ups and downs and this week the crew has a bevy of issues from weird sounds, Fozzy trying to electrocute himself, and some editing issues Chris would rather not discuss anymore. They also manage to talk about Bayonetta, mold, Deadly Premonition, Lara Croft, Piranha 3D, Cop Out, Shank, Scott Pilgrim: The Game before heading into an awkward news segment where Tony and Fozzy literally stop paying attention as Jeff and Chris discuss The Walking Dead. The main topic of the show though is our most anticipated games of Holiday 2010, which oddly enough starts next week. We cover everything from Halo: Reach (the resounding consensus for most anticipated game) as well as talk a bit about Fallout: New Vegas, The Sims 3, Epic Mickey and a couple shooters from the two biggest publishers going.
This year has been a bit of an oddity, what with high quality games being delivered throughout the year. The last few weeks have actually seen me not purchase much of anything new (aside from the downloadable Lara Croft game) but the slight drought is about to end. For some the Holiday gaming season officially will kick off next week with the release of Metroid: Other M but for a large sum of us the real kick off will be when Microsoft sets loose its 5-ton gorilla, Halo: Reach. Regardless of where you stand on the Halo anticipation scale, it is hard to deny that from September 14th to mid November some of the biggest games of the year will be releasing.
The Perfectly Sane crew is set to talk about what we are looking forward to (and why) but I want to know what you guys are looking forward to. So leave some comments down below and let me know what you are looking forward to and why and I will read some of them on during the recording tomorrow.
