The Perfectly Sane Show Ep. 66: Bats, Spiders, and Hedgehogs… Oh My

This week the guys traverse the yellow brick road, which is only yellow because Jeff peed on everything again. Along the way though the guys encounter Batman, Spider-Men (yes, as in multiple) and a geriatric hedgehog with a taste for human women. They also talk some more Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Dark Souls and explore the Fozzy’s need for aerial speed and why he needs new sneakers. And of course Tony brings the news and surprisingly Chris dozes off for a few seconds (see if you can pick up where).

Fozzy was missing in action for most of the week, fortunately he escaped from his captors and was able to sit down and do the show with us. This week we talk a little bit about Little Big Planet 2 but mostly focus on news including the 3DS details, Microsoft and Sony security, and “The Dark Knight Rises” casting reveals before answering a handful of questions about Final Fantasy XIII-2.

In an effort to help with some potential download problems Chris tried something different with the compression this week, let us know if you have any DL issues or if the show sounds a bit off this week.

While Jeff goes on a hot date, the rest of the crew kidnaps Walter Lopez(aka snakpack), the Worldwide Community Manager for Direct 2 Drive, and force him to talk about games including what may be the biggest release of the year World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. They also talk some more Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, Fable III, Singularity, Metro 2033 and Amnesia: The Dark Descent before Walter schools us on the ways of the MMO and why they are cool and we should play them. We also discuss some news, like the death of handhelds, the Uncharted movie going on hold, and XBOX Live annoyances not bothering real soldiers, as well as answering listener mail and making some football picks (put after the close on account of a whiny little leprechaun :) ).

First person to tell Chris via Twitter what game the opening for this week was from gets a DCUO beta code courtesy of Direct 2 Drive.

Wii, Green Zone, and The Last Exorcism. In the second segment though the guys fall off the wagon and have a hard time playing it straight while going over the topic of the week, Games We Thought of and Want Made. Seriously, you try and keep a straight face while discussing Gran Turismo: Pokemon, MotorStorm: Kill the Kinectamals, Maximum Pain: Heavy Rain Edition, Left 4 Dead: Amish Edition and Tournament of Legends.
