Greetings Multiverse Fans,
We’re back again with another show this week, this time with more pandas! That’s they key to success, right? Cute, cuddly pandas? Find out on this show!
We also talk about how Adam goes John Wayne on Greenscale, Diablo 3, Battlefield 3, Dragonvale, and much, much more. Adam did an excellent job of editing this show and it came out very well.
As always, if you like what we do, please consider leaving us an iTunes review.
Enjoy!

Why yes guys I did end up having to comment on Chris’ s stuff. lol
First off wow at the back handed compliments on both WoW and FFXIV, you tried to say nice things you really did and I applaud you, but your honest opinion just couldn’t be eclipsed. I had a chuckle or two. ^_^
Why would people pay for a subscription for FFXIV you’re wondering? First of all I won’t deny SE is excruciatingly slow at updates, FFXI was always so sloooooow. FFXIV is only different because Yoshida and company are much more communicative then any other FF dev team before them. It makes the wait to patches a bit easier to bear. And there HAS been significant updates, but you have to keep in mind that what is lacking in content is present in revamps. The WHOLE game is being redesigned, from top to bottom with only a few of the original features remaining.
So maybe that’s why people get the impression that nothing is happening with this game, also for some reason the media coverage for the 2.0 announcement I thought was misleading. There are pdf documents on the official site giving a road map of what is to come PRIOR to 2.0. They are some major additions to the game, additions seen in regular expansions of most major MMOs. Like 7 new advanced classes, housing, raids, major battles along with the on going revamps. By the time patch 1.20 rolls around sometime in December the game will be where it should have been at launch, that is why they feel they can charge people.
The subscription fees have not been changed or taken down from the official site either, so as far as we know the sub will be as follows:
30 days: 9.99$
90 days: 26.97$
180 days: 47.94$
Extra Characters: 3.00$
So yes the base fee covers one player character and one retainer. I think they said they might allow for more free retainers as well. And in a FF game you don’t need alts to try different classes since you can already switch to any on one character. I don’t see SE changing their policy and pricing because of this.
Okay that’s all! Hope you both had a Happy Halloween!
I got updates on my last comment I should share: The 7 new ‘classes’ are specializations for example if you have conjurer to 30 and thaumaturge to 15 you can be a white mage ect..
Wada, SE CEO, has commented that they’re considering a discount on the subscription fee for early adopters of the game.
