A lot of fantasy role-playing games paint a pretty generic picture. Orcs and goblins are the bad guys and humans must protect themselves from the green skinned monsters. Cyanide Studios latest game turns that trope on its head, putting players in the role of the green skins that are fighting for freedom against a tyrant human empire. The story will put players in control of the legendary Orc berserker Arkail and his goblin guide Styx directly as they set out on their quest to end the tyranny of the empire by assassinating the emperor.
On its own merit, NBA 2K13 is a good game. But the game stands in the shadows of its own predecessors. The bar was set very high by NBA 2K12, which may have been the greatest sports game of all time. Still, the expectation for any new series effort is to at least meet the quality of the previous efforts, and NBA 2K13 falls short.
