There’s a whole new system launching this week, I’m pretty sure I don’t need to announce that. For those of you interested in the system, be sure to stay tuned for waves of reviews as our writers try to cover as much as they can. For the rest of us who won’t be getting the system anytime soon, things are finally slowing down. We still have Hitman: Absolution, though, Agent 47s fifth tour around the block. A mechanic similar to “detective mode” from the stellar Batman games by Rocksteady finds a new home in Absolution, allowing Agent 47 to anticipate enemy movements.

Clearly the biggest release this week (aside from the Wii U..possibly) is the final episode of The Walking Dead. Episode five will wrap up the first season of the series. Many people have grown very attached to the title and for good reason, as it has certainly delivered an emotional, choice-driven narrative that makes you regret even the best decisions.

You can’t forget the almighty Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale either. Until writing this, I didn’t realize the ironic (probably planned) timing of this Smash Bros. “clone” coming out when the Wii U launches. Even with the similarities, what I played at E3 was really fun. I’m a little disappointed my favorite heroine, Lightning, wasn’t in the final roster, but am hopeful she will be a DLC character down the road.

Free-to-play game Planetside 2 comes out this week. On the surface, it looks a lot like MAG, the failed FPS from Zipper Interactive, with you choosing a faction and fighting in a persistent online battle. Our Editor-in-Chief actually missed meeting up with us at an appointment at E3 because he was so involved in playing it, so that should tell you something. Being free, if online shooters on PC are your thing, you have no excuse not to check it out.

  • Tuesday, November 20 ~ Jet Set Radio
  • Tuesday, November 20 ~ Persona 4 Golden
  • Tuesday, November 20 ~ Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale
  • Tuesday, November 20 ~ Sine Mora
  • Tuesday, November 20 ~ Zen Pinball 2: Marvel Pinball Civil War table (DLC)

This is a golden week for the Vita. Not only does it finally get Playstation Plus support, which gives access to five free PSV games at any time, but it gets three solid games added to it’s rather small library. The first being a port of the Playstation 2 classic, Persona 4 Golden. Our reviewer has had it for a bit now, so expect that review very, very soon.

SEGA’s Jet Set Radio also comes to the Vita, and is free for PS+ members. It’s been on PSN for a little while now, and this game (much like the last) really does have a big following. I’m sure it’ll transition over well to the handheld, too.

Let’s not forget the new Zen Pinball 2 table, either, modeled after the Marvel Civil War mini-series. For me, this is one of the defining moments in Marvel history, and a story arch that I can never get enough of. It’s also available on other platforms, but pinball on the go is far better than pinball on a big TV. If you buy it on PS3 or Vita, you get it on the other platform too. It’s hard to argue that that isn’t awesome.

So, what will you be buying this week? One step further, how much are you spending on Black Friday sales? Let us know in the comments below!
