The Expendables 2 was the last of the big summer blockbusters and we have now officially entered the “dead zone” of the movie season. However if you are up for a trip to the theater there are a trio of new films that, individually, reach out to nearly everyone (except kids). The most promising of the bunch appears to be the star-studded ensemble comedy Hit & Run featuring Bradley Cooper. However, if last week taught us anything it was that no matter how much star power is associated with a film, it can still falter.
On the flip side of Hit & Run is the latest Joseph Gordon-Levitt vehicle, Premium Rush. Gordon-Levitttakes on the role of New York City bike messenger Wilee as he races around the city in an attempt to deliver a package while being chased by a dirty cop that wants it. Expect our official review soon.
And closing things out is the horror film, The Apparition. As a horror fan, I have been waiting impatiently for some quality new releases and The Apparition probably is not that film. So…
What are you seeing this weekend?
