All things must pass, final words from the Vagary.TV Overlord

Live long, Vagary.TV

Hello Dear Vagary.TV Readers,

Today is the day that I announce I am departing from Vagary.TV.  To give a brief history, I started Vagary.TV (this incarnation at least) back in 2008 with a simple podcast called Game Seers.  It was here that I met current Editor-in-Chief Kyle Baron, and also Senior Editor Jeff Derrickson.  We started as a solo mission and over time grew; podcasts were our bread and butter, but in 2010 we began to also focus heavily on writing.  Thanks to a very supportive community, we did indeed have some successes.  I was able to fulfill a childhood dream of mine and even attend E3, twice!  My situation has constantly evolved since Vagary.  I was in the military, got married and had a kid.  Early this year, I decided to end my military career so I moved from California to New York, bought a house, started a new job and enrolled in a state university to finish my degree in Computer Information Systems.  My dream has always been to be an innovator in silicon valley and I’ve had a few close calls to making that a reality this year.  So aside from being insanely busy most of the time and really becoming a background player within the business as Kyle Baron, Don Parsons and Chris Scott ran the show; I also encountered resistance from big industry names due to my involvement (read: ownership) of a small business that critiques things in the realm of technology.  A conflict of interest.  So, for these reasons I’ve decided to step down, and away from Vagary.TV.  I am extremely proud of the staff and the huge leaps and bounds we’ve made over the past few years.  I am 100% confident that the site will continue to grow and evolve as time goes by.  My confidence stems from the new owners of Vagary.TV — Editor-in-Chief: Kyle Baron, Public Relations Manager: Don Parsons, and Executive Editor: Chris Scott.  As I embark on a new journey, they will assume the helm and sail the great ship Vagary.   Lastly, I would like to thank you — the readers and subscribers of our podcasts.  It is for you, that we do everything.  Please continue to support Vagary.TV and it’s new owners and if you feel so inclined – I set up a nice little e-mail for them (without telling them of course) — send them words of encouragement, ideas, pictures of you puppies, whatever to — the.triumvirate-at-Vagary.TV.

Stay hungry, stay foolish.

All the best,

Ryan Kenward

Ryan is the Founder of Vagary.TV - he currently works in a free lance capacity and as an advisor. He formerly hosted the Game Seers Podcast, was the first Editor-in-Chief and is generally, a badass.
