Retailers to have exclusive Black Ops 2 maps

Something something modern shooter

A trusted Gamestop source has confirmed with Vagary.TV that retailers, Gamestop/EB Games being one of them, will be giving out exclusive Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 maps to those who pre order the game.

One of the maps, an updated version of Call of Duty: Black Ops’ Nuketown, called Nuketown 2025, will be given out to those who preorder at Gamestop stores in North America and the UK.

This is supposed to be part of several different “waves” of promotional bits for Gamestop. As of this writing, there’s no word on whether or not the other waves will include in-game benefits, such as the Nuketown 2025 map. Details of the content of the other waves will be revealed in August and October, before the game’s release in November.

I’m personally not one for pre-ordering games without having had hands on experience in advance, but what do you think? Chime in in the comments section below and be sure to check back on Vagary when we have more details.

VERY smart on behalf of Gamestop to drop maps as an incentive, considering a large portion of the audience will be like “OMFGMAPZ4FREE!”

Nuketown was from blackops not modern warfare 2. Im going to wait to see what the hardened edition comes with. Im sure the map will be apart of dlc eventually so i rather wait for better preorder incentives.
