Rayman Legends has a lot to live up to in terms of pedigree. Rayman Origins is considered one of the best platformers to come out of last year by many. The team developing this follow up came on stage and showed off their new game with a live gameplay demonstration. The demo showed off exclusive gameplay features that the WiiU version of the game will possess, including a new playable character called “Murphy” that will utilize the WiiPad as a touch input allowing him to help out other characters by moving around obstacles and grabbing enemies. It was revealed that the WiiU version will support five play simultaneous play. That’s four who are running around platforming and Murphy on the WiiPad. It looks a lot like Rayman Origins and that I can’t complain about because I loved that game, as for the WiiU functionality, it looks interesting but not necessarily what I’ll be getting the game for. Hopefully they announce additional platforms for the game, until then it’s on the WiiU and it looks great. I hope to be seeing more about this one soon.
