Pikmin 3 is now officially a thing on that new WiiU doohickey. This time around you’ll be able to use the Wii MotionPlus controller to pinpoint the spot where you want to throw Pikmin while using the WiiPad as a over world map. You also have the option to switch to the WiiPad to control the game from an overhead perspective using four leaders to divide up the work between your Pikmin. It looks like the Wii MotionPlus functionality will make targeting enemy weak points a lot easier, this should alleviate some headaches and save a few Pikin in the process. I’m fairly interested in the overhead WiiPad functionality as well and I wonder how an overhead Pikmin will play, I think this is a game I’ll be watching up to release to see how it develops. Nintendo says this one will be hitting sometime in the WiiU launch window.
