Microsoft catches a lot of flack for not having a ton of their own franchises. Their big ones are Halo, Fable, Forza and Gears of War. You didn’t really think that Microsoft and Epic were going to stop producing Gears games just because Gears of War 3 put a definitive end to the story of the Marcus Fenix and the Locust War? Gears of War: Judgment will continue the Gears franchise but it will not be with Marcus Fenix at the helm. No this time, the smart ass engineer, Baird, will be the focus. If Epic can continue to improve the story delivery, Gears 3 was a marked improvement over past iterations, and they can deliver the same great Gears gameplay with some new twists, Judgment could very well be a huge release in 2013. For me, it cannot get here soon enough.
