The Last Story is coming to North America

The Last Story, one of the RPGs which caused gamers to band together for Operation Rainfall, has finally been confirmed for a North American release by Nintendo.

It’s due out before the end of the year which should give Wii gamers another reason to keep their Wii out of storage this year.

This game should excite JRPG fans as it has  Hironobu Sakaguchi, the creator of the Final Fantasy series, behind it.

This is one of the three titles that got gamers up in arms signing a petition to see a North American release, this project was called Operation Rainfall and is the second title from that petition that’s going to be localized for this region.

The campaign was meant to convince Nintendo to bring out three role-playing video games stateside that were originally planned to be released only in the Japan and Europe regions.

Though fans succeeded in the campaign to get media attention, Nintendo originally came forward and said there were no plans to release Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story and Pandora’s Tower in NA.

So far Xenoblade Chronicles and The Last Story are confirmed to be on store shelves here soon. However, Pandora’s Tower still hasn’t been announced for this region but with the other two of three titles finally coming, there’s still a reason to hold out hope on that one too.
