Australian Magazine to Unveil Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer

It has been rumored, speculated, retail leaked, denied, and so on, but now it’s official now, PC PowerPlay, an Australian gaming magazine has confirmed that Mass Effect 3 will feature online multiplayer.

“That’s right – Mass Effect 3 is getting multiplayer! We travel to BioWare’s office in Edmonton for hands-on time with the series’ first foray into online gameplay, and chat with Mass Effect Series Producer and Mass Effect 3 Project Director Casey Hudson about the decision to go multiplayer in the epic battle for the galaxy.”

Even thought the magazine is based out in Australia, I’m sure the power of the internet will release its content on the internet in no time. Stay tuned to Vagary.TV for more details when the issue releases on October 19.

  • It’s hard to look at this with anything but cynicism. If you wanted multiplayer in ME, you’re probably crazy.

  • As far as multiplayer, I would love some co-op, to play with a buddy.

  • Lucky, as it’s now been confirmed by Casey Hudson to be Co-op.
I was fearing yet another needless deathmatch game. If it’s a Splinter Cell conviction-style separate story, it could be interesting, especially if it included leveling up and all that. Co-op RPG stuff can be great fun.
