Burnout CRASH! coming to XBLA, PSN September 20

Criterion Games, popular for the fast-paced, havoc wrecking Burnout series, is bringing the franchise to downloadable fronts XBLA and PSN on September 20.  For $9.99, you’ll be able to purchase the new game in the series, Burnout CRASH! The game is a reinvention of the series’ crash mode, a mode rewarding those for causing chaos by chaining together collisions and wrecks into exploding car pileups.

The Autolog system that Criterion introduced with Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit will also be a part of the downloadable title, allowing you to directly challenge friends.  Burnout CRASH! will also include a game mode designed specifically for Kinect users.  Other notable features are 18 different junctions, unlockables, and three different game modes.

More and more franchises are turning to XBLA and PSN to offer small but content filled games, giving players a chance to get a taste of the series before the next big game comes out.  Are you a veteran Burnout player looking forward to this title?  Maybe a newcomer who wants a taste of what the Burnout franchise is?  Let us know in the comments.
