Gamescom 2011: No Split-screen Co-op in Battlefield 3

In an interview with GamingLives, DICE’s Karl Magnus Troedsson stated there will be no split-screen in the recently announced co-op mode in Battlefield 3. While the mode will be strictly online, you will be able to partner up with your friends to venture through six co-op maps.

In recent years, split-screen gameplay has been making a revival. Call of Duty: Black Ops, Borderlands, and Dungeon Siege III have all featured split-screen heavily. How does this affect your opinion on the game mode? Disappointed? Unchanged? Let us know in the comments below.
