Sucker Punch Productions known for creating PlayStation-exclusive franchises such as Sly Cooper and inFamous, and as such it would seem natural that Sony would pick them up. Today they announced that Sucker Punch Productions has officially joined the ranks of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios.
Brian Fleming, managing partner of Sucker Punch Productions had this to say:
“We’ve enjoyed an incredible relationship with Sony that has allowed us to combine our creative design capabilities with their guidance to make some of the best franchises to hit the PlayStation platforms. Equally important, the relationship with SCE has provided us the flexibility and trust to take creative risks and invent new properties,”
It’s no secret that developing solely for the PlayStation platform has allowed them to create many successful games with their most recent title inFamous 2 taking a top spot in games sales in June. Sucker Punch has yet to announce their next game yet but with this deal they are pretty much set financially to do whatever they want and be creative.
