ViewSonic Launches 24″ HDMI 1.4, 3D Vision-Ready Monitor

ViewSonic has a treat for consumers today with their brand new 3D Vision Ready V3D245, 1080p monitor. The monitor is one of the first of its kind to offer HDMI 1.4 compatibility, allowing users to not only enjoy full HD 3D content with their nVidia 3D Vision kits, but also to connect their home game consoles for a wide array of stereoscopic 3D content. Head’s up, PS3 owners, you no longer need a new TV to enjoy Black Ops in three-dimensional glory!

ViewSonic took a cue from Jurassic Park’s John Hammond and spared no expense making this display top-in-class. Featuring a 20,000,000:1 contrast ratio, 300 nits of brightness, and two integrated SRS Premium Sound speakers, the V3D245 aims to impress. In addition to compatibility with over 550 PC titles, users can also access a wide array of 3D videos and pictures utilizing nVidia’s own 3D Vision Live, and a huge selection of 3D videos available straight through fan-favorite destination, YouTube.

“Gamers, movie buffs and photo enthusiasts will love moving up to 3D,” said Phil Eisler, general manager of 3D Vision at NVIDIA. “And there’s no better way to do so than with ViewSonic’s V3D245 3D monitor, with its built-in NVIDIA 3D Vision technology, which produces the most immersive and crystal clear 3D images.”

As someone who regularly writes and reviews 3D-equipped games, this writer can attest to the “Ultra HD” effect that 3D provides. It is an experience that changes the way you game, and at the competitive price of $499 MSRP, ViewSonic aims to make a believer out of you.
