Driver: San Francisco Requires Permanent Internet Connection on PC

Just when you thought Ubisoft has enough of extreme DRM in the case of Assassin’s Creed 2 and other games. In a brief message from the Driver Twitter account, they confirmed that the PC version of Driver: San Francisco will require a permanent internet connection. Even though with recent releases Ubisoft relaxed their DRM scheme a bit but it seems like they want to bring it back.

Keep in mind this is just for the PC version as the console versions will use Ubisoft new online pass system “Uplay Passport” which will require players to input a one-time-use passcode to unlock the online features of the game.
